Exciting news for all teaching aspirants across the country! The National Testing Agency has officially released the NCET 2026 Admit Card on April 13, 2026. Every candidate who successfully completed the registration process can now visit the official NTA portal and download their hall ticket. The exam is just around the corner, so it is strongly advised not to delay this process even by a single day.
The National Common Entrance Test, popularly known as NCET, is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education. This exam serves as the gateway for students who wish to pursue the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programmed, commonly called ITEP. This programmed is offered by several central universities, state universities, and government-aided institutions across India. Clearing NCET is the first and most important step toward building a career in the teaching profession through this route.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD NCET 2026 ADMIT CARD:
The process of downloading the admit card is completely online and takes only a few minutes. Follow the steps below carefully
Step 1 — Open your browser and go to the official NTA portal at exams.nta.nic.in/ncet
Step 2 — Look for the NCET 2026 Admit Card download link on the homepage and click on it
Step 3 — A login page will open. Enter your Application Number along with your registered Password or Date of Birth
Step 4 — Click on the Submit button. Your admit card will load on the screen
Step 5 — Check all the details displayed on the hall ticket carefully before downloading
Step 6 — Download the admit card PDF and take a clear printout on A4 size paper
Step 7 — Keep at least two printed copies with you — one for the exam and one as a backup
WHAT IS PRINTED ON THE ADMIT CARD:
The NCET 2026 hall ticket is an official document and contains all the key details required for the examination. Once you download it, you will find the following information printed on it
Your full name as registered during the application process, your roll number assigned by NTA, application number, category, photograph and signature, the date and shift of your exam, your reporting time at the centre, the complete name and address of your allotted exam centre, the subject you have opted for, the medium of the exam, and a set of important instructions that must be followed on exam day.
It is very important to go through each of these details carefully. If you notice any mismatch or error, contact the NTA helpdesk immediately and get it resolved before your exam date.
DOCUMENTS TO CARRY ON EXAM DAY:
On the day of the examination, every candidate must carry two things without fail.
- First is the printed copy of the admit card — a mobile screenshot or soft copy will not be accepted at the gate.
- Second is a valid government-issued photo identity proof.
- Accepted ID proofs include Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving Licence, or any other document issued by a recognised government authority. Without both of these documents, entry to the exam centre will be strictly denied.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES:
There are a few things every NCET 2026 candidate must keep in mind before and during the examination —
The admit card will not be sent by post or courier. You are solely responsible for downloading and printing it from the official portal. Make sure you reach your allotted exam centre at least 90 minutes before your scheduled reporting time. The gates will be closed well before the exam starts and latecomers will not be allowed to enter under any circumstances.
Do not carry mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, calculators, or any other electronic items to the exam hall. These are strictly prohibited and possession of any such item can lead to immediate disqualification.
Do not make any changes, corrections, or markings on the printed admit card. Any tampering with the hall ticket may result in your candidature being cancelled.
It is also important to understand that receiving the admit card does not mean your eligibility has been confirmed. The eligibility of every candidate will be verified separately at a later stage during the admission and counselling process.
ABOUT THE NCET EXAM PATTERN:
NCET 2026 is conducted in Computer-Based Test mode across multiple exam center’s in India. The exam is available in 13 languages including Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The question paper consists of multiple-choice questions and the total duration of the exam is 3 hours per shift. Candidates will be tested on subjects related to their chosen stream along with general aptitude and language proficiency.
