Educational Qualifications (as on 21 July 2026)

All educational qualifications must be from a University, Institution, or Board recognized by the Government of India or approved by Government Regulatory Bodies. The final result must have been declared on or before 21 July 2026.

IT Officer (Scale I): A four-year Engineering/Technology Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Electronics and Communication, or Electronics and Instrumentation; OR a Post Graduate Degree in Electronics, Electronics and Tele Communication, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Applications; OR a Graduate degree with DOEACC ‘B’ Level certification.

Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): A four-year Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fishery Science, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Agri. Business Management, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Sericulture, Forestry, or Fisheries Engineering.

Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): A Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level; or a Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree (graduation) level.

Law Officer (Scale I): A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and enrolment as an advocate with the Bar Council.

HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): A Graduate degree along with a Two-Year Full-time Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work, or Labour Law.

Marketing Officer (Scale I): A Graduate degree along with a Two-Year Full-time MMS (Marketing), MBA (Marketing), or a PGDBA/PGDBM/PGPM/PGDM with specialization in Marketing.

For posts other than IT Officer (Scale I), candidates must additionally hold a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in computer operations/language, or must have studied Computer/Information Technology as a subject at the High School, College, or Institute level.

Selection Process for IBPS SO CRP SPL-XVI

Candidates will be selected through the following stages:

Online Preliminary Examination: The Preliminary Examination will consist of four sections covering English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (for IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer), or General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry (for Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari), and Professional Knowledge. The total marks for the Preliminary Examination will be 125, to be completed in 80 minutes.

Online Main Examination: Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. The Main Examination will cover English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge (Objective), along with a Descriptive Paper component. The total marks for the Main Examination will be 225, to be completed in 155 minutes.

Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the Main Examination will be called for a Common Interview conducted by the Participating Banks and coordinated by the Nodal Banks in each State/UT/Region with the help of IBPS. The total marks for the Interview are 100, with a minimum qualifying mark of 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). The weightage ratio of Main Examination to Interview is 80:20.

Provisional Allotment: Final allotment will be made on a merit-cum-preference basis to one of the Participating Banks based on vacancies available during the financial year 2027-28.

Negative Marking: A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the objective tests of both the Preliminary and Main Examinations.
