If you have just passed your Higher Secondary examination and are planning to take admission in a college in Assam this year, then this article is very important for you. The Government of Assam through the Office of the Director of Higher Education has officially released the complete admission schedule for the session 2026-27. All college admissions in Assam this year will be done through the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal which is commonly known as the SAMARTH Portal. Read this full article carefully so you do not miss any important date or step in the admission process.

The SAMARTH Portal is the official online admission platform launched by the Government of Assam for conducting college admissions in a transparent and smooth manner. All government colleges, provincialized colleges, autonomous colleges, government model colleges and participating private colleges of Assam will accept admissions only through this portal for the session 2026-27.
