Note: UR = Unreserved, OBC = Other Backward Caste, SC = Scheduled Caste, ST = Scheduled Tribes, EWS = Economically Weaker Section. Additional seats are also reserved for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) and ESM (Ex-Servicemen) candidates. The total number of vacancies may vary.
Educational Qualification
Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Class 12 or 10+2 pass from any recognised board is the minimum education required for this post.. Along with this, a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer is required. The typing test allows 10 minutes and is calculated at an average of 5 key depressions per word, which equals 10,500 KDPH in English and 9,000 KDPH in Hindi.
Hindi Typist: Same as LDC — Class 12 pass with the same typing speed requirement of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on a computer.
Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver: Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or an equivalent exam from a recognised board or university. A valid civil driving licence covering both Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) is mandatory. Candidates must also have professional skill in driving and knowledge of motor mechanism, with a minimum of two years of driving experience.
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years Maximum Age: 25 years
The age is calculated as on the last date of receipt of the application.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation
- SC and ST candidates: 5 years relaxation
- Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates: 10 years relaxation
- PH candidates from SC and ST category: 15 years relaxation
- PH candidates from OBC category: 13 years relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen: Deduction of full period of military service from actual age, subject to the resultant age not exceeding the maximum prescribed age by more than 3 years

Selection Process
The complete selection procedure for this recruitment is divided into the following stages:
Step 1 – Application Screening: All applications will be checked for age limit, minimum educational qualification, and supporting documents.Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will receive a call letter for the written examination..
Step 2 – Written Test (100% Weightage): The written test carries full marks and is the main basis for selection.
For LDC and Hindi Typist, the exam will cover: General Intelligence, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness.
For the Driver post, the exam will cover: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, General Awareness, and Trade or Post-related questions.
The exam paper will be provided in two languages — English and Hindi.
Step 3 – Skill or Practical Test: Based on the merit in the written test, shortlisted candidates will be called for a skill or practical test. This stage is qualifying in nature only and does not add marks to the final score.
