About AP Universities Recruitment Portal

The Andhra Pradesh Universities Recruitment Portal is a centralised platform managed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through APCFSS. This portal brings all state university faculty recruitment under one roof so that eligible candidates can apply to multiple universities through a single registration. The portal covers all State Public Universities in Andhra Pradesh and also includes Lecturer positions for RGUKT campuses. It is a transparent and digitally driven recruitment system that ensures fair selection based on academic merit and research credentials.

Candidates can apply for both Assistant Professor and Associate Professor posts provided they meet the eligibility conditions for each individual post separately.

Who Can Apply

Any citizen of India who holds the prescribed academic qualifications and experience as per the notified eligibility criteria can apply. OCI cardholders are also eligible in most cases however some universities may specifically require Indian citizenship so candidates must check the individual university notification carefully before applying.

Government or university employees can also apply but they must submit their application through the proper channel and attach a No Objection Certificate from their current employer at the time of applying.

Important: The Ph.D. period will not be counted as work experience under any circumstances.

Contractual faculty members are also entitled to weightage as per applicable Government Orders.

Application Fee

Important Notes on Fee:

• A separate application fee is required for every application for Associate Professor and Professor posts
• For Assistant Professor posts one fee covers one test regardless of how many universities you apply to
• Candidates who paid fees during the 2023 recruitment can have that balance adjusted subject to verification but a fresh application is compulsory
• Unutilised balances from 2023 will be refunded through the portal after the full process is complete
• Fee payment is done online after clicking the Confirm and Pay button at the end of the application form

Important Dates

Selection Process – Step by Step

For Assistant Professor:

The selection happens in three clear stages.

Stage 1 – Prima Facie Eligibility Check The university verifies all submitted documents and checks whether the candidate meets the basic eligibility criteria before moving them to the next stage.

Stage 2 – Written Test A Computer Based Test is conducted by APPSC or a designated authority. The test has 150 Multiple Choice Questions to be answered in 180 minutes. There is negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer so candidates must attempt carefully.

Stage 3 – Personal Interview Candidates who qualify the written test are shortlisted for interview in a ratio of 1 to 12 or 1 to 4 depending on the number of applications received.

For Associate Professor: Applications are screened based on academic and research credentials. A merit list is prepared and candidates are called for interview in a 1 to 12 ratio or 1 to 4 if the number of applicants is less.

For Lecturer Post at RGUKT: Selection is based entirely on the written test conducted by APPSC. There is no personal interview for this post.

Note: All interviews will be video recorded for transparency and fairness.

How to Apply Online – Step by Step

Step 1 – Visit the official recruitment portal at apuniversitiesrecruitment.apcfss.in

Step 2 – Your Aadhaar linked mobile number is mandatory for OTP based registration so keep it ready before you begin

Step 3 – Register on the portal and log in using your credentials

Step 4 – Click on the university tile on the homepage to view the specific notification for that university

Step 5 – Fill in all required personal, educational, and professional details carefully in the online application form

Step 6 – Upload the following documents in the correct format before submitting:

• Photograph and Signature in JPEG or JPG format
• Educational Certificates and Marks Memos in PDF format
• NET, SLET, or SET certificate in PDF format
• Ph.D. Certificate in PDF format
• Experience and Community Certificates in PDF format
• Research evidence including published papers, books, patents, and projects in PDF format

Step 7 – Review all details carefully on the preview page. Once you click the Final Submit button no further changes are allowed

Step 8 – After submission click on Confirm and Pay to complete the fee payment online

Step 9 – Take a printout of the submitted application and fee receipt and keep them safe

Step 10 – Send a hard copy of the application along with all self-attested supporting documents via Registered Post, Speed Post, or Courier to the respective university before 15 June 2026 by 5:00 PM. Hard copies submitted in person will not be accepted.

Technical Tips for Filling the Application

• Always use a desktop or laptop computer for filling the application. Mobile phones are not recommended
• Use the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge for the best experience
• You can save and fill the form multiple times before final submission so take your time and verify everything
• Check both mandatory and optional fields before clicking Final Submit
• All communication from the university will come through the portal login or registered email. There will be no physical communication
