About the University
Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya, commonly known as BSSRV, was established by the Government of Assam under the BSSRV Act 2020. It is a co-educational state university recognised by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f). The university has been allotted land in Rangajan, under the Morongi Revenue Circle of Golaghat District. Currently, the office of the Vice Chancellor operates from the Golaghat Engineering College premises. Prof. Jyoti Prasad Saikia was appointed as the first Vice Chancellor of this institution.
The university was founded with a strong sense of purpose — to develop globally aware citizens through a well-rounded and meaningful learning experience. It actively promotes interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary education, drawing its academic direction from the National Education Policy 2020. Step-by-Step Application Process
Step 1 — Visit the official university website Go to www.bssrv.ac.in or www.admission.bssrv.ac.in to access the online application portal. Both websites are active and will direct you to the application form for the 2026–27 session.

Step 2 — Check your eligibility Before filling the form, go through the eligibility conditions carefully for the programme and discipline you wish to apply for. Make sure you meet every requirement listed before proceeding.
Step 3 — Pay the application fee Transfer the applicable fee to the SBI bank account details provided above using any accepted electronic payment method such as UPI, BHIM, or bank deposit. Save the payment receipt and note down the transaction ID immediately.
Step 4 — Fill the online application form Open the application form and fill in all required details carefully and accurately. Double-check every entry before moving ahead because once the form is submitted, no changes or corrections of any kind will be allowed.
Step 5 — Upload payment proof In the designated section of the online form, upload your bank payment receipt in JPEG format and enter your transaction ID. Both are mandatory for the application to be considered valid.
Step 6 — Submit before the deadline Complete your submission before 15 June 2026. Applications received after this date will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Step 7 — Check the shortlist on the university website After submission, keep visiting www.bssrv.ac.in or www.admission.bssrv.ac.in regularly. The list of provisionally selected candidates will be published on the official website. The exact date for this notification will be announced by the university separately.
Step 8 — Attend document verification and complete admission When called for admission, carry a printed copy of your submitted application form along with all original certificates, mark sheets, and other relevant documents. If your examination result is still awaited at the time of admission, you must submit a written undertaking stating that you will provide the required documents within the timeline fixed by the university. Admission granted under such circumstances is purely provisional and will be confirmed only upon production of final documents.
