SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — Overview

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Graduation degree from any recognized university or institution. This is the only educational requirement for this post.

Age Limit (as on 01 April 2026):

Important Note: Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship at SBI or any other organization are not eligible to apply. Also, candidates who have more than one year of work experience after their graduation are not eligible for this engagement.

Stipend During Training

Selected applicants will be paid a stipend of ₹15,000 per month throughout the one-year apprenticeship training. Apart from the monthly stipend, no additional salary, allowance, or extra benefits will be applicable during the training period.

After successfully completing the training and passing the required skill evaluation test, candidates will receive a joint National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by SBI and NSDC. This certificate also gives candidates a special advantage and weightage if they apply for the post of Junior Associate in SBI in the future.

Application Fee

The application fee can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI services. Candidates should note that once the payment is successfully completed, the fee will not be returned or refunded under any condition.

Selection Process

The selection will happen in two stages:

Stage 1 — Online Written Examination:

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Stage 2 — Local Language Test: Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for. Those who have studied the local language at 10th or 12th standard level will be exempted from this test.
