Monthly Remuneration

This payment is in addition to the pension the retired officer already receives. No house rent, furniture, provident fund, or gratuity will be provided during the contract period.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this engagement, a candidate must meet all of the following conditions as on 31 March 2026.
Who is eligible:
- Retired SBI officers who served in the grade of MMGS-II, MMGS-III, or SMGS-IV
- Officers who retired on attaining superannuation at the age of 60 years
- Officers who completed at least 58 years of age and 30 years of service at the time of applying for voluntary retirement (as per specific SBI circulars) and have since attained 60 years of age
- Officers with a clean and unblemished service record
- Officers who are in good health and free from any major illness
- Maximum age as on 31 March 2026 should not exceed 63 years
Who is NOT eligible:
- Officers who resigned, took voluntary retirement (other than the above exception), or were suspended before completing their full service
- Officers against whom any punishment or penalty (censure or higher) was imposed during the five years immediately before retirement
- Officers with any CBI or law enforcement cases pending against them
- Officers whose integrity is under question
Period of Contract and Leave
- Contract duration: Minimum 1 year, maximum 3 years, or until the officer turns 65 years of age — whichever comes first
- The engagement is subject to quarterly performance reviews
- Leave entitlement: 30 days per year, calculated on a pro-rata basis for shorter periods
- Sundays and public holidays will not be counted as part of leave
- Unused leave lapses at the end of the contract unless it was officially denied by the bank on administrative grounds
Role and Responsibilities
Officers engaged as Resolvers will primarily be responsible for following up on customer complaints and ensuring they are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner. Additional tasks may be assigned by the competent authority from time to time. The role demands good communication skills, thorough knowledge of banking systems, and patience in dealing with customer grievances.
Important Service Conditions
- The engagement is purely contractual and will not be treated as re-employment in the bank
- No administrative or financial powers will be given to the engaged officers
- Engaged officers cannot take up any assignment with any other organisation during this period
- They will be required to sign a stamped Service Level Agreement (SLA) before joining
- Income tax will be deducted at source as per applicable rules
- The bank or the officer can cancel the contract at any time with 30 days’ notice or equivalent payment in lieu of notice
- Medical reimbursement and other service benefits will not be provided, though pension-related facilities will continue as applicable
Selection Process
Step 1 – Shortlisting: The bank will frame its own shortlisting criteria. Simply meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call for interview. Only the required number of candidates, as decided by the bank, will be shortlisted.
Step 2 – Interview: The interview carries 100 marks. The bank will determine the minimum qualifying marks as per its selection criteria. Candidates attending the interview will not be provided with any travel allowance.
Step 3 – Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared in descending order of interview scores. If two or more candidates receive the same score, preference will be given to the older candidate in the final ranking.
Posting will be done circle-wise and category-wise. Selected candidates will be posted to the circle for which they applied and will not be eligible for transfer to another circle.
