Educational Qualification
For Senior Computer Instructor:
Applicants must possess any one of the prescribed educational qualifications from a recognized university, institution, or approved educational board:
Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
OR
M.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology
OR
Master’s in computer application (MCA) or B Level or C Level certification
OR
Candidates having an equivalent or higher qualification approved by the government authority will also be considered eligible for this recruitment.
Additionally candidates must have practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture
For Basic Computer Instructor:
Applicants should possess at least one of the required educational qualifications mentioned in the official recruitment notification.
Graduate degree with A Level certificate or PGDCA of minimum one year duration

Along with the educational qualification, applicants should have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and a basic understanding of Rajasthan’s culture and traditions.
Age Limit
The age of applicants will be determined on the basis of 01 January 2027 as per the official recruitment rules. Candidates must have completed 18 years of age and must not have crossed 40 years as on 01 January 2027.

Special Note for Secondary Education Department: Candidates who were eligible for Senior and Basic Computer Instructor Direct Recruitment 2022 will get an additional age relaxation of 3 years since no recruitment was done in that year.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process
Selection will be done through a Computer Based Test (CBT) or Tablet Based Test (TBT) or OMR based examination followed by document verification.

Important Exam Rules: Negative marking of 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates. Each question will have 5 options — A, B, C, D, and E. If a question is not attempted, option E must be marked. Candidates who leave more than 10% of questions without marking any option will be disqualified.

How to Apply – Step by Step Process
Step 1: Before applying make sure you have completed your One Time Registration (OTR) on the SSO portal. If you have not done OTR earlier you need to pay the registration fee first through an authorised e-Mitra kiosk, Jan Suvidha Centre, net banking, ATM cum Debit card, or credit card.
Step 2: Go to the official SSO portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in and log in using your SSO ID.
Step 3: After logging in go to Citizen Apps section and select the Recruitment Portal. Then click on Apply Now for the Computer Instructor Recruitment 2026.
Step 4: Read the complete official notification carefully before filling the application form. Make sure you check your eligibility for the specific post and department you want to apply for.
Step 5: Fill in your complete details in the online application form carefully. Your name, father’s name, date of birth, and photograph will be auto-fetched from your OTR profile. Fill all other required fields accurately.
Step 6: Complete your live photograph capture through the OTR system. Make sure your face is clearly visible and the background is white or light coloured. Your face must cover at least 50% of the photograph area.
Step 7: Upload your scanned signature and thumb impression as per the specifications. Signature must be done in a rectangular box of 7 cm width and 2 cm height using black or dark blue pen on white paper. File size must be between 20 KB and 50 KB in JPEG format.
Step 8: Select your preferred department — Secondary Education Department or Sanskrit Education Department. Fill in your department preference carefully as it cannot be changed after final submission.
Step 9: Review your complete application form carefully before final submission. Once submitted your name, father’s name, date of birth, photograph, and signature cannot be changed. You can make corrections to other fields during the correction window.
Step 10: After successful submission your application will get an application number. Take a printout of the submitted application form and keep it safe for future reference.
Who Cannot Apply — Important Disqualification Rules
Any male candidate who has more than one living wife cannot apply. Any female candidate who has married a man with a living wife cannot apply. Any candidate who has two or more living children born on or after 01 June 2002 is not eligible. Any candidate who has been previously debarred from any competitive examination cannot apply until the debarment period is over. Any candidate who provides false information or uses unfair means can face legal action under the Rajasthan Public Examinations Act 2022.
