Educational Qualification Required

Executive Trainee – Electrical / Mechanical A full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or AMIE in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical and Automation Engineering from a recognised university or institute with a minimum of 65 percent marks. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates require 55 percent marks. GATE 2026 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

Executive Trainee – Civil A full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or AMIE in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institute with a minimum of 65 percent marks. SC candidates need 55 percent marks. GATE 2026 qualification in Civil Engineering is mandatory.

Executive Trainee – Geology A full time M.Sc or M.Tech in Applied Geology from a recognised university or institute with a minimum of 65 percent marks. GATE 2026 qualification in Geology or Geophysics is mandatory.

Important: Candidates who are still pursuing their course or waiting for final results are not eligible to apply.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates are placed at E-2 Grade with the following compensation structure:

• Basic Pay of Rs. 50,000 per month with 3 percent annual increment
• Dearness Allowance on Basic Pay
• House Rent Allowance at applicable rates where company accommodation is not available
• Cafeteria allowance at 35 percent of Basic Pay
• Location Based Allowance at 10 percent of Basic Pay
• 12 percent of Basic Pay plus DA towards Provident Fund contribution
• 9 percent of Basic Pay plus DA towards NEEPCO Employees Defined Contribution Superannuation Scheme
• Medical benefits for self and dependent family members
• Performance Related Pay, Gratuity, Uniform, communication expenses, and furniture reimbursement as per company rules
• Minimum monthly CTC is approximately Rs. 1,00,000

After one year of training at any location of the corporation, candidates are promoted to E-3 Grade on successful completion.

Selection Process – Step by Step

Step 1 – GATE 2026 Score Screening All applications will first be screened and shortlisted based on GATE 2026 scores in the relevant engineering discipline. Only candidates with a valid GATE 2026 score and registration number are eligible.

Step 2 – Personal Interview Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview. The interview covers General Knowledge, job aptitude, extra-curricular background, and professional subject knowledge.

Step 3 – Final Merit and Appointment Appointment offers are issued in order of merit based on interview performance. In case two candidates score equally, the older candidate by date of birth is given preference.

Step 1 – Visit the official NEEPCO website: www.neepco.co.in and go to the Careers section

Step 2 – General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) category candidates must complete the application fee payment first through SBI ePay

Step 3 – Fill in the online application form with accurate details including your GATE 2026 registration number, roll number, application number, and graduation marks

Step 4 – Keep the following documents ready in scanned format before you begin:

• Matriculation or Secondary School certificate showing date of birth
• Class 10, 12, and graduation marksheets along with GATE 2026 scorecard
• Caste certificate in Government of India format if applicable – OBC NCL certificate must be from the current financial year
• EWS certificate from current financial year if applicable
• Disability certificate from competent authority if applicable
• CGPA to percentage conversion certificate if percentage is not clearly mentioned
• Recent passport size colour photograph in JPEG format, size between 20 KB and 100 KB
• Signature in JPEG format, size between 20 KB and 100 KB

Step 5 – Upload all the above documents in the respective spaces provided in the online application form

Step 6 – Submit the form and take a printout of the registration slip generated by the system for future reference

Service Bond Requirement

Selected candidates must sign a Service Agreement Bond committing to serve NEEPCO for a minimum of four years including the training period. The bond amount is Rs. 2,50,000 for General, EWS, OBC NCL, and PwBD candidates and Rs. 1,25,000 for SC and ST candidates.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

Keep your registered email ID and mobile number active throughout the entire recruitment process as all communication including call letters and interview intimation will come only through the official recruitment portal. Do not wait for the closing date to apply as the portal may experience high traffic closer to 3 June 2026.
