About RLDA

Rail Land Development Authority is a statutory body established under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. RLDA is primarily responsible for the development of vacant railway land for commercial use in order to generate revenue for the Indian Railways. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a full-time B.E. or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognised university or institution approved by AICTE, UGC, or the Government of India.

Additional weightage will be given to candidates who hold an M.Tech qualification in the relevant field.

Note: Only full-time regular degree courses will be considered. Part-time, distance learning, or correspondence degrees will not be accepted.

Experience Required

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification work experience in any of the following organisations:

• Central Government Departments
• State Government Departments
• Central Government PSUs
• State Government PSUs
• Private Organisations working in relevant engineering fields

The experience must be in one or more of the following areas to be considered valid:

• Building Construction works
• Infrastructure Development Projects
• Civil Construction and Project Supervision
• Electrical Engineering works
• Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works

Important: Experience gained through internship, apprenticeship, training, teaching, academic work, or freelancing will not be counted as qualifying experience.

Age Limit (as on 22 May 2026)

Note: If a candidate is eligible for age relaxation under more than one category, only the highest applicable relaxation will be granted.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on the following criteria:

RLDA reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on organisational and project requirements. If the number of applicants is high, only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

Contract Terms and Conditions

• The engagement will be strictly on a short-term contract basis and not a regular or permanent appointment
• Initial contract period will be up to one year, extendable based on project requirement and satisfactory performance
• The contract will automatically end on expiry of the period unless formally extended by RLDA
• One month advance notice is required from either side for early termination of the contract
• Selection on this post will not give any right to regular employment in RLDA

1. Selected candidates will be posted at any RLDA project location across India based on organisational requirement. Candidates must be prepared for pan-India posting.
2. Candidates must be medically fit. Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination at their own cost before joining and submit a medical fitness certificate.
3. A police verification and clearance certificate from the appropriate authorities must be submitted before joining.
4. No travelling, lodging, or boarding expenses will be reimbursed for attending the interview.
5. Furnishing false or tampered documents, or any kind of misconduct, will invite legal action, disqualification, and debarment from future assignments in RLDA.
6. Candidates are advised to beware of touts or unscrupulous elements who may claim to arrange employment in RLDA through influence or illegal means. RLDA has not authorised any individual or agency for this purpose.
7. RLDA reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel the number of posts or the entire engagement process at any stage without prior notice.
